CASE STUDY

AABDC shines a light on Asian American women business leaders in corporate America

Background: In honor of International Women’s Month, the Asian American Business Development Center (AABDC) set out to elevate the voices and experiences of Asian American women business leaders in corporate America. These leaders remain underrepresented in mainstream narratives and face distinct cultural and structural challenges.

Solution: To build a credible, research-driven thought leadership platform for the AABDC, Iris Flex conducted 20+ in-depth, executive interviews to surface the strategies Asian American women use to lead in environments often lacking cultural fluency or inclusive infrastructure.

Activation: Iris Flex translated the insights into a report and whitepaper, anchoring a branded event, press release, and media campaign designed to spotlight individual stories and spark broader dialogue on representation and systemic change.

Impact: The branded event sold out and drew significant media attention, amplifying the visibility of AABDC and its mission. The platform established AABDC as a convener of executive-level dialogue with culturally attuned, insight-led programming. The study directly inspired the launch of a youth mentoring program by AABDC.
